I never knew that Covey's book would bring about such a positive change in me. I was not proactive and never had the courage to take an initiative but after reading the book, I felt that I had changed a great deal!! And I must caption that Sir Manan's teaching methodology is quite effective.

@ Komal,

I humbly think that its not Sir's teaching methods that are making you proactive, its his initiative of teaching us 7 habits, and the 'thought' you are giving to its content. And. Your application of the habits, in the first place after the understanding.
to me proactivity is just very, very natural, as covey puts it. its easy to become proactive once a person dominates himself.
now what foolish thought is this on earth: dominating over oneself? One may question, aren't we suppose to become friends of ourselves?
my question would be: is really man his friend if he thinks wrongly, (he can; he does)? follows his 'lavish' impulses, which are by nature hasty, irrational, unproductive, lazy and lethargic?
dominating is dominating this part of our existence. this 'unfriendly' part(in real terms) is a fact. frithjof schuon says this, one the greatest writers of 20th century. "a noble man is one who dominates himself," says he.
Once you've dominated your carnal soul, you've made an enemy to surrender..... and, if your vision has become clear as to what is the end of your journey..... you'll be no more a reactive person. this is my belief. nobody calls a monk proactive. its just the manipulation of terms, it has been there with man, for ever. (note on clarity of vision: you see, relying on guesses, when clarity be achieved - can be life-taking, not merely life-threatening...)

Excuse me, Mr. Fancy Pants, let me first rectify you that I never said that Sir's teaching methodology made me proactive. It was quite vivid from my post that I was talking about the book. Anyways, i really appreciate that at least someone bothered to comment on my text!!

@ Komal,

Thanks you for appreciating dormant spirits of criticism.

"Mr. Fancy Pants"

Well, all I can say is that: I appreciate for no one has done this much humiliation to me ever!
